We responded to 34 emergency
calls for service.

Saturday, August 30 at approximately 3:39 am:
E1 was dispatched on a medical
for a report of a patient possibly having a heart attack. BFR personnel and EMS arrived on scene simultaneously
to find one patient unresponsive inside their home. CPR was immediately initiated by firefighters
while EMS personnel assessed the patient’s cardiac activity and secured the
patient’s airway. Cardiac medications were
administered via IO while E1 crew members continued CPR. The patient quickly regained a strong pulse
and blood pressure and was moved to the ambulance for transport. EMS transported the patient emergency traffic
to a local hospital with one firefighter aboard to assist with care.
