Thursday, June 26 at approximately 2:33 pm:

E4 was dispatched on a medical call for a report of a patient complaining of severe back pain.  Upon arriving on scene, E4’s paramedic obtained a 12 lead EKG while other crew members obtained vital signs.  EMS arrived on scene and patient care was transferred.  The results of the EKG indicated a condition that required immediate transportation to hospital.  The patient was loaded into the ambulance and transported emergency traffic to a local hospital with one firefighter aboard to assist with care.  Once transportation had been initiated E4 returned to service and quarters.

Saturday, June 28 at approximately 5:38 pm:

E3 was dispatched on a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries.  Initial dispatch information indicated a car had crashed into the Mapco on Moore’s Lane. Upon arriving on scene E3 determined there were two people injured but that the building was safe to enter.  Crew members worked with EMS to immobilize the patients to long spine boards and move them to the ambulance.  R1 arrived on scene to assist with patient care.  Once all patients had been loaded into the ambulance BFR personnel checked the vehicle for any immediate hazards.  None were found and control of the scene was transferred to BPD.  EMS transported the patient to an area hospital and all BFR units returned to service.
