Sunday, July 6 at approximately 4:40 pm:

E3 was dispatched on an outside investigation in a residential area.  Initial dispatch information indicated power had gone out in several homes and an above ground electrical box was smoking.  E3 arrived on scene with the power company who had already been dispatched to the area.  BFR crew members located an electrical box with smoke coming from the inside.  The box was opened, revealing a small fire which was quickly extinguished using a dry chemical fire extinguisher.  With no further hazards found E3 returned to service.  The electrical company remained on scene until power could be restored to the affected homes.

Tuesday, July 8 at approximately 9:57 am:

E4 and R1 were dispatched on a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries.  Initial dispatched information indicated it was a possible 3 car collision.  E4 arrived on scene to find two cars with damage from a head on collision.  One vehicle was off the roadway in a ditch and all occupants appeared to be out of the car.  E4 established command and began assessing the occupants for injuries.  Command cancelled R1 when it was determined that no occupants were entrapped and there were no critical injuries.  EMS arrived on scene and two occupants were moved to the ambulance for further evaluation.  BFR personnel assessed the vehicles for any possible hazards.  Once EMS initiated transport, Command was terminated and E4 returned to service.
