All BFR units were dispatched on a report of a residential structure fire.  Initial dispatch information indicated that the rear of a home was possibly on fire.  E4 arrived on scene to find a two story home with smoke showing on two sides.  E4 established command and crew members found the deck on the rear of the house on fire along with an exterior wall.  Crew members pulled a 1 ¾” hand line to extinguish the fire.  Command directed E2 to stage at the end of the driveway and directed E11 to continue to the scene.  The fire was quickly extinguished after C3 arrived on scene.  L1, E1 and E3 were cancelled by command due to rapid extinguishment.  The interior of the home was checked for fire extension using a thermal imaging camera.  With no further hazards Command was terminated and the residence was turned back over to the homeowner.  All BFR units cleaned up equipment and returned to service.

Monday, September 22 at approximately 2:20 pm:
E4 was dispatched on a report of a dumpster fire.  Initial dispatch information indicated fire was visible inside a dumpster near a construction site.  E4 arrived on scene to find a large dumpster with heavy fire visible.  The dumpster had no nearby exposures.  Crew members used a 1 ¾” hand line to extinguish the fire.  Due to the different types of material in the dumpster 750 gallons of water was required for complete extinguishment.  Once all hazards were addressed E4 returned to service and quarters.

Friday, September 26 at approximately 7:12 pm:
E1 was dispatched on an outside investigation near Harris Teeter.  Initial dispatch information indicated smoke was coming from a light fixture in the parking lot.  E1 arrived on scene to find light white smoke coming from a light pole.  L1 was requested to respond to the scene and the property manager was contacted.  L1 arrived on scene and BFR personnel ascended the ladder to extinguish the small fire that was visible in the light.  Crew members used a dry chemical extinguisher to put out the fire.  The property manager arrived on scene and power to the pole was shut off.  The area underneath the pole was cordoned off until repaired to the light could be made.  With no further hazards E1 and L1 returned to service.
