E3 was dispatched on an outside investigation on General George Patton Dr.  Initial dispatch information indicated an electrical pole was possibly on fire.  E3 arrived on scene to find a power pole with a small fire near the top due to equipment failure.  Crew members immediately shut down the roadway and began securing the scene.  Command was established and Middle Tennessee Electric was requested to respond to the scene.  One local business was temporarily evacuated due to power loss.  Middle Tennessee Electric quickly arrived and began repairing the pole.  BFR crew members assisted in blocking the roadway and maintaining a safe area until repairs could be completed.  Once repairs were complete, Command was terminated and E3 returned to service and quarters.
