Friday, March 28 at approximately 9:37 am:

E3 was dispatched on a medical call for a report of a patient with chest pain.  E3 arrived on the scene with EMS and made patient contact.  Personnel obtained vital signs while EMS performed a 12 lead EKG.  The 12 lead indicated a possible heart attack and the patient was quickly moved to the ambulance.  IV access was established and the patient was transported emergency traffic to a local hospital.  One member of E3’s crew rode with the ambulance to the hospital due to the patient’s unstable condition and to assist with care.

Saturday, March 29 at approximately 3:18 am:

E3 and R1 were dispatched on a report of a vehicle accident with injuries on I-65.  E3 arrived on scene to find two vehicles that appeared to be involved in a rear-end type collision with significant damage to both vehicles.  Initial dispatch information indicated that there were possibly two patients complaining of injuries.  E3 made contact with the patient in the first vehicle and established command.  R1 was instructed to check the other vehicle which was about ½ a mile from the first vehicle.  E3 crew members evaluated the patient for injuries and checked the scene for hazards. Two EMS units arrived on scene and patient care was transferred.  EMS transported one patient to a local hospital for treatment.  Once all patient care was complete and any hazards were addressed, Command was terminated and control of the scene was handed over to BPD while E3 and R1 returned to quarters.

Sunday, March 30 at approximately 2:14 pm:

E2 was dispatched on a report of a grass fire behind a structure.  E2 arrived on scene to find a small grass fire near railroad tracks behind a building.  BFR personnel quickly extinguished the fire before it could endanger a nearby building.  The area was investigated in an attempt to determine the cause of the fire but no evidence was found.  With the fire extinguished and the area wet down to prevent re-ignition, E2 returned to service and quarters.
