Monday, January 27 at approximately 4:07 pm:

E4 and B1 were dispatched on a mutual aid call in Nolensville.  NVFD was on the scene of a large grass fire and requested BFR units to respond for manpower and equipment.  E4 and B1 arrived on scene and were tasked with extinguishing the remaining fire and checking for hot spots.  Once there were no further hazards all BFR units were released from the scene and returned to Brentwood.

Monday, January 27th at 4:17 pm:

E2 and E3 were dispatched on an inside investigation at a residence.  Initial dispatch information indicated that fire had spread from a fireplace to the floor of the structure but was put out by an occupant of the home with an extinguisher.  BFR crew members entered the home to find a light haze throughout the residence.  Further investigation determined that there was no active fire in the home.    E2 personnel used a thermal imaging camera to check for any possible fire extension before ventilating the residence using an electric fan.  Once all hazards had been addressed E2 returned to service and quarters.

Thursday, January 30 at approximately 7:54 pm:

E4 was dispatched on a medical call for a report of an unresponsive patient.  Upon arriving on scene crew members made contact with the patient who was conscious but had an altered mental status.  E4 obtained vital signs and performed an EKG.  EMS arrived on scene and patient care was transferred.  BFR personnel assisted EMS with obtaining intravenous access and moving the patient to the ambulance.  Due to the patient’s condition EMS transported the patient emergency traffic to a local hospital.  Once EMS had cleared the scene E4 returned to service and quarters.
