BFR Training Burn on Split Log Road

Brentwood Fire and Rescue recently completed a training burn in an acquired structure on Split Log Road. From time to time BFR is able to work with property developers who need to have a building razed, allowing the department to conduct valuable training while saving the developer some of the demolition costs.  In addition to members of Brentwood Fire and Rescue, both the Nolensville Volunteer Fire Department and the Williamson County Rescue Squad were invited to send crews to participate. Training together in acquired structures allows firefighters to hone their craft under realistic and closely monitored live fire conditions with no risk to citizen life or property.  Photos of crews performing interior operations are difficult to come by, as cameras do not typically fare well inside a burning structure, but firefighters operated both inside and outside the building throughout the day.  Please enjoy these photos, and click on any of them for a larger view.
